Risk & Insurance Consultants Featured in Atlanta Business Chronicle
by R&I Consultants
Recently, the Atlanta Business Chronicle featured our very own Bobby Kitchen and Steve Molina! In the article, “Paper Trail: Document Retention Policy Can Promote Efficiency, Savings,” the two share our process of following a document retention policy.
At our office, we receive tons of emails and documents on a daily basis. In order to make sure each one is organized and retained, we scan each document, categorize it and store it in the company’s agency management system. Items such as newsletters and intra-company bulletins are kept for three years at max. However, items such as internal financial records, corporate records and vendor contracts are filed in the permanent retention category.
Following this policy allows us to save money and space, plus it allows us to better serve our clients. We know exactly where their files are if needed.
Besides orchestrating our document retention policy, Bobby and Steve are insurance pros. Bobby, our president, started his career in commercial insurance in 1983. His strengths include strategic planning, risk analysis and program development. Bobby loves working in a one-on-one partnership with our insurance consumers. Steve, our senior partner, has worked with both national and regional insurance carriers. He holds the designations of Associate Risk Management and Certified Insurance Counselor through the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research and the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.
