by R&I Consultants

Atlanta health insuranceOver the past few months, we have told you what healthcare reform means for employees and employers.

If you missed these posts, read them here:

•    Healthcare Reform: What It Means for Employers

By reading these posts, you will learn that since being signed into law in March 2010, the Affordable Care Act has been changing the country’s health-care system. However, all of these changes are just the beginning. More is to come next year as more Americans have access to affordable health insurance.

Though this is good, your Atlanta health insurance rates may be affected. Moving your health plan’s renewal date up to December 1, 2013 will allow you to:

•    Lock in rates until December 2014
•    Keep your plan consistent during changing times
•    Align your medical and specialty coverage renewal dates
•    Get time to evaluate coverage options under the new Affordable Care Act

Offers to renew by December 2013 are only open to small groups.* Risk & Insurance Consultants encourages you and your legal and tax advisors to discuss all options. If you have any other questions, please contact Blake Molina, our Health and Benefits Account Executive, at 678-681-6555 or Donna, our Health and Benefits Practice Leader, at 678-681-6552.

*Not all small groups will benefit from changing their renewal date.
