Founded in 2006, Risk and Insurance Consultants (R&IC) was built on a commitment to delivering exceptional service, educating clients on the best insurance options, and fostering strong, trustworthy relationships.
With a sold foundation in Atlanta and North Georgia, in October 2025 R&IC proudly launched its third location in Durham, NC. Our goal remains to provide exceptional value, service and expertise in insurance solutions that protect both your business and personal needs.

Ron Harris
SENIOR PARTNER
Ron Harris has 20 years of management experience with publicly traded companies, including TRW, Inc., General Electric/GE Capital, and Convergys Corporation. Ron started his professional career in Banking as a Commercial Loan officer.
From 2013 through most of 2024, Ron was the CFO for two privately held companies: Up Dish Services, a field services business covering North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, and Squid iQ, a software start-up. At both companies, Ron was a customer of Risk & Insurance Consultants. This relationship developed into a business partnership with owners Bobby Kitchen and Steve Molina.
Ron has a BA in Finance from Cleveland State University and completed his MBA in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis. Ron will be the Senior Partner for Risk & Insurance Consultants of North Carolina, focused on developing relationships with commercial customers.

Yvette L. Jones
INSURANCE CONSULTANT I COMMERCIAL LINES & PERSONAL LINES
Yvette L. Jones has helped families and businesses by providing needs-based insurance products since September 2000 in Orlando, Florida. Yvette retired in 2023, and in 2025, she came out of retirement to help launch the North Carolina division of Risk & Insurance Consultants, in Durham, NC. She brings with her over 35 years of Personal Lines and Commercial Lines Underwriting, Operations Training, Public Affairs, and Insurance Sales experience.
Yvette specializes in business insurance as well as helping families with all of their insurance needs. She believes in helping clients secure proper coverage to enable peace of mind and protected dreams.
Yvette graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Business and a concentration in Marketing. In her spare time, Yvette loves to spend time with her family, travel, and work on Breast Cancer initiatives.
